wow rude! Maybe ring another department and ask to be put through to the manager of the one you want thereby bypassing these people.

I think you should make a complaint once you get there. Can you remember names? You need names to make a complaint stick in a call centre.

I know actually what you're talking about. I tried calling up about paying my phone bill with mums credit card, I was having trouble it kept saying could not be processed. The first chic, was good. The 2nd guy W#@K*%. Asking personal questions about why I couldn't pay it myself. I was just trying to pay the damn bill then and there. But after several rude comments from him. I called him an idiot and hung up. This is not the first time ringing up vodafone and getting mad and hunging up. I don't understand WHY they hire these people that can't speak or understand english.

OMG don't get me started on vodafone, I had so many issues with them and getting their supervisor to call me that I wrote them a letter telling them that they would no longer be receiving my custom as I was disgusted with the service. Got a letter back applogising big time and that was it .

I have a prepaid phone with them but thats just to txt my sister in England and thats it.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I work in a call centre for a phone company, i suggest you dont give up with askin to speak to a supervisor. Dont hang up and dont take no for an answer. They have to talk to you. Tell them you want to comlain and your not taking no for an answer. Stand your ground!

they put me on hold for a bloody long time though....when i worked in CS if someone asked to speak to manager i asked if i could help and if they said no then it didnt matter what the manager was doing i went out of my way and pulled them out of meetings if i had too.

AFAIK the call centre for VF is in Israel now (Well, it looked like they were heading that way when I started maternity leave). But you'd still expect them to speak English!
And as KylahsMum said, persevere. They HAVE to talk to you.
I really dislike calling call centres.
Mind you, AirNZ was awesome when I called yesterday.

Perhaps call your nearest store? They'll probably try to fob you off to CS but still explain to them what happened.
I'd always help someone if they couldn't get through to CS. It was my job.

Thats so bad. Its even worse now that they've migrated vodafone and ihug. So if its your cellphone or your landline you want to talk to them about, you're still going to be talking to the same idiots. I emailed a complaint, but haven't heard anything back from them. Don't actually think I will, oh good luck

The call centres are different for ihug and vf.
I think it's just call centres that are based overseas in general that are bad.

TysMummy - if you wanna PM with your problem I could offer some advice, if you want?
(Yes, baby brain is boring...I'm gagging for work hehehe)
