Well today is my first day of no bf! I have been weaning Jack for the last few weeks down from 3 feeds a day. I haven't had any problems with painful breasts, lumps etc etc, everything seems the same. So how soon can I ditch the maternity bras? Will my size change much in the next few weeks/months? I am too scared to try on my old bras and find they don't fit as some of them were pretty new!

sorry hun, you will probably need to go and get re fitted, you will probably not be the same size. Or if you think you might be, get fitted again just to be sure. It is uncomfy going back into a normal bra after feedign so long!

Aww yay for getting your boobs back. I can't really help as when I finished feeding Jack I was already pregnant with Caprece so they grew. Just start wearing your new bras but don't chuck out the maternity ones yet just in case.

I have just stopped wearing maternity bras too, but don't fit my old ones... I just got a few comfy cheap sports bras for now, cos I figure my boobs might adjust for a while... plus I think other bras are uncomfy atm! I really need to go bra shopping... *adds to the massive list of things to do*

Bother! Should have asked DH for lingere vouchers for Mothers Day then! Oh well, may just keep wearing the maternity bras for a while until I find time to go shopping on my own, Jack's not much of a shopper!

You'll probably come down to size in about 10 days. You may or may not fit those old ones, I did fit into the same size after baby #1 but not baby #2.

I took 3 months to come back down to size after bf - I had so many different sizes of bras but found that my pre-preg bras didnt fit around the chest and had to keep buying new ones as I kept shrinking! Aargh. I suggest giving yourself a couple of weeks and then only buy a couple of bras at a time incase you keep changing size too. With the first couple of weeks after bf, I was still leaking breastmilk and so wore my maternity bras but padded them with breast pads (also to use up the breast pads I had bought). It was one of the worst parts of bf for me.
