I cried my eyes out too! I was still freaking out about being pregnant, but just hearing that little heartbeat... well, it broke my heart and made me the happiest I've ever been all at the same time!!

I thought that the first time I heard the heartbeat was the best, then when I felt the first kick to let you know it's still there It was amazing!!!!!!
Now the kicks are heaps stronger but hubby can't feel them just yet - I'm really looking forward to him being able to experience something from the baby himself

baby's heartbeat is a beautiful sound my oldest daughter jade (3) heard baby's heartbeat at our first midwife visit and even she was fascinated and told me she was so proud of me! im tempteed to get a doppler off trademe so i can hear it lots as a comfort (im sure that rythym would put me to sleep those stupid nights when i lay there tossing and turning!)

How awesome Frantic! I can't wait to hear mine! My first MW appt I was only 9 weeks so too early to try and listen and next one isn't until around 15 weeks so have to wait until then. Although I do have a scan next Tuesday - can't wait

I have a scan next week friday so hopefully my partner can come to that and listen too, he wasnt at my first appt. She was looking for the baby down realy low in my pelvis, and then she moved up after a while and found it - and she measured from my pelvic bone to where she found it and said I may be further than I thought, she said it could measure as big as 14 weeks , or it could be a big baby!!! I mean that freaked me out a bit cos for a baby to be that much bigger at this stage...? well... I dont know but i was happy to hear it was well anyway...

Maya measured 6 days smaller on the 12 week scan, and ended up being a huge 9lbs so sometimes dates/measurements don't mean much.
