Wasn't sure where to put this. I am thinking that I would like Jack to be about 2 1/2yrs when #2 is born. We were very lucky conceiving Jack, I was on the pill for about 10yrs, came off early July and we were pregnant in August. So I had thought to start TTC #2 in about Jan next year. However someone told me that often after coming off the pill you are really fertile but after being off for a while it may not be as easy. Oh, must mention that we decided I wouldn't go back on the pill so only contraception at the mo is condoms.

Anyway to my question. Is it likely to take us longer next time? Was anyone else lucky like us to conceive quickly with #1? Did #2 take the same amount of time? Longer?
Lindsey

We conceived Zac straight after I went off the pill and Samara took 3 months from stopping breastfeeding and going off the mini pill.
Zac Mark - 30.11.05
Samara Ailsa - 13.08.07

Charlotte took 3 months to concieve( had gone off the pill 7 months before that ) then Harry was on our first 'go' if you know what I mean . I never went back on the pill in between times.

In saying that everyone is different, some people take way longer than first time round, don't know if the first time has any relevance to the second time?

I didn't go on the pill in between, we conceived #2 and #3 when the bfs were less than 3 or 4 per day. Or maybe that was just a fluke

Thanks ladies. A bit of a mixed bag then, huh? The reason I ask is that I am not very good at waiting once I decide to do something. Plus I am getting a little bit clucky, even though I know I am only just coping now with 1! Oh well, will stick to the plan of kicking my heels up at xmas/new year and maybe my birthday and start late Jan.
