Howdy
Anyone have one of these (RRP at Farmers about $500?) They look good and are slim (78cm). Just wondering about good/bad experiences or what you have heard about them?
And no I'm not pregnant, just planning ahead. I hate the look of tandem strollers, I want a side by side. If I bought a MB it would have to be 2nd hand so the only other option would be getting one of the above new (like on a cardholders night or something) or a Maclaren (I think?) one from BabyCity, but I don't like the look of those ones as much.

Oh also, those with side-by-sides around the same width... how do you find them when you're at the mall etc?

I don't have that one but my side by side is pretty good at fitting through doorways. In fact I haven't yet found a doorway we can't fit through *touch wood*
At the mall its great because they can both see out, going into any clothes shops is a joke but with two kids theres no time for that anyway. Kmart and Warehouse and stuff is fine but it doesn't fit through the supermarket and kmart aisles that aren't for wheelchairs wich is a PITA.
I also have a one in front of other and I prefer the side by side, it also means twice the carrying space for all my shopping

Thanks Rach, I was hoping you'd post in here. Did you end up getting a new one to replace the one that Ben broke?
Yeah I kind of figured I'm not going to be doing too much shopping for myself with 2 kids in tow! But I really like side by side as opposed to tandem, I just know how much Jack likes looking around and if we had a tandem the next bubs would miss out on all of that which doesn't seem fair.
Oh and I find going into places like Glassons a joke with a pram anyway let alone a twin one lol. More so that the stupid teenage girls don't get out of your way than anything, in fact all the sales assistants have told me before just to move anything I can't get around (don't think I'm strong enough to pick up a few 16 year olds at a time though )

Lmao Emz.
No I haven't got round to getting a new pram yet I can't decide. Nothing has a big enough parcel tray that still folds down quite small and I don't want to spend a fortune on something thats not really going to be used for long.
Yeah I like how they can look around too, the only problem is that when they are tiny and the older is still getting used to a new baby they can grab them. I started out with the one in front of the other so Jack couldn't grab Caprece. So when your looking maybe put Jack in them and see how far he can reach.

I have the same as Floss, only now I have it in baby and toddler mode with Chiara and one gremlin in it and the other gremlin either walks or goes in the single stroller.
I hated my side by sides, I had a big 3 wheel buggy and a smaller Childcare twin Lunar stroller. The twin Lunar was probably similar dimensions to the Steelcraft and it fitted thru doorways etc. It was just clunky and heavy and harder to manouever.

Thanks for the input ladies, I will possibly keep our single for short trips etc while bubs is little and use a front pack so that should be fine for newborn.
I measured the pram today and its only 76cm while the P&T E3 Twin is 73cm (not to mention $100 dearer and doesn't include anything like covers etc). Seeing as my stroller already is something ridiculous like 65cm its only an extra 10cm which isn't too bad really. I think I may be sold! Just have to wait for a Farmers Cardholder night or a BabyCity special to get it (and possibly should wait until I'm pregnant lol as it may take a while and then a side by side wouldn't be the best idea!)
