Has anybody used / owned a Quicksmart Easy Fold Stroller.
Quicksmart Easy Fold Stroller
We are off to OZ for a week in November and Mum was looking at getting me one of these (as I am travelling alone with Phoenix and I can take right on to overhead).

I LOVE our Quicksmart stroller.
We just took it with us on a month long trip to Canada (and back) and it was brilliant.
Takes a little while to get used to learning to fold it up, but you get used to it, and we didn't have to check it into the baggage hold as it was small enough to go in the overhead bins on the plane (don't let anyone tell you otherwise either).
Even now it's the stroller I use just when out and about, takes up heaps less room in the boot and is generally handy!

I am off to Oz by myself with the boys and I am just taking my umbrella stroller. I am hoping the fact that I am by myself with 2 children they will help me out a bit.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Mummy_Becks, I imagine they will help you out. Thats what I am banking on too!
Pearls, did you have the backpack or the easy fold (2 step fold down) stroller? ie. 3 or 4 wheeler?

I am going to check out Baby City and Baby Factory as I would imagine they would have them. They retail from $210 (saw one New on Trade Me) to $245 (online sites). A bit more expensive than other strollers but worth it I think.
We just got Phoenix's new Safe and Sound carseat anchored into my little 2 door hatchback and can no longer fit my pram in the boot anymore, so this would be perfect.

I didn't know there was more than one kind  We got the three wheeler one that fits in the backpack. I think I bought mine on TM for about $80 ??

These look great. Our mountain buggy can only barely fit in our boot so we're looking at something a bit smaller.
Is the 3-wheel one very stable Pearls?

Freesia - it wobbles a little but that is because of the way the suspension is set up, otherwise I find it good and sturdy, great in small spaces and around corners etc.
Jess - it holds up to 17kg, and I'm sure that is just a cautionary limit?

I think we are going with the 4-wheeler stroller. Only because the fold down mechanism looks a bit easier... it is a bit more pricey than the 3-wheeler, but as I will be dealing with Phoenix on my own at the aiport, the 2-step fold down seems ideal. Both fit in the overhead compartment on the aeroplane tho.

My stroller arrived today and it's great, only thing is it wont fit in overhead on plane. But that's okay, I will work something else out with check-in.
Nice stroller though, perfect for my little hatchback.

What about a carrier like an Ergo, or an ABC sling? It would still be suitable for him at that age, and even my DD now at two loves to ride around on my back.

I have a front pack which I am sure we will use, but as we will be at airport very early and for a couple of hours, would like him to be able to sleep in a pram or at least lie back and relax.

Hey we are currently in the states, with our quicksmart. It isn't really the right size to fit into overhead bins, but the airline host said that it would fit in fine, the plane was full so we checked it anyway, but we have found at Auckland airport and La airport that they are happy for you to check the stroller at the front desk but then take your stroller right up to the plane and then they will take it away and stow it. In St Louis we found our stroller waiting at the plane door when we got off!
So basically any stroller is fine.
i love our quicksmart though and have really enjoyed travelling with it.

why not try the ride on carry on. It has worked for me and i have used it with my kids.
