Hey everyone!
My name is Shelley, I found out on Saturday that I'm pregnant with baby number 2! My son Ollie is nearly 12 months old so there is going to be a twenty month gap between the two.
I had a dating scan today to see where things are at, I'd estimated I was 5 weeks and 3 days but I had two periods in July both lasting a week! So the Dr thought I might be 7 weeks and that I'd had spotting. The scan measured at 5 weeks 3 days, but bubs was too little to be seen, so I have to go back next Thursday!
I feel very blessed!! I have PCOS and keep being told that we'll have a really hard time getting pregnant, but we've been lucky enough to fall pregnant naturally twice. Good luck and I'm thinking sticky thoughts for you all!!!!

Welcome Shells and a BIG congrats...
I agree with Emmecat that everyone here is lovely...they've certainly been a big help while I've been being a drama queen.
My biggest wish is that I'd not got the bloods done...it's doing my head in!
Anyhow - hope everyone is feeling good (or not good! - which is good) and you all have lovely evenings being waited on by your DP/F/Hs!!

Hey Emmecat, I'm at that worried stage a bit myself, while the dates matched up the technician couldn't see anything yet in the "pregnancy sack" so I'll probably be a bit worried until next Thursday (which will take forever to get here) when hopefully we'll see a little heart beat!
I didn't have to worry about this last time, I was 8 weeks pregnant with Ollie before we found out about him, and he was already quite visable in the dating scan.
I just really want to enjoy this pregnancy like I did with my last one without worrying too much about everything (easier said then done!). I had blood and urine tests this morning so hopefully I'll hear back about those soon!

Thanks surfergirl, congratulations to you and Emmecat on your pregnancies too! I just called the Pathlab and she told me it could be a couple of days before I get the results (talk about leaving me hanging!!). In the meantime, I guess I'll just have to trust that everything is as it is ment to be (hopefully growing well!!!). I did start to get a bit of nausea this morning which I think is a good sign.

ooooh I see my ticker has changed itself by me updating in Lilypie about 4 hours ago! lol
I have no idea if it's right, just thinking that if I ov later than I thought then I should try adn go by that rather than by my LMP.
So confusing. Guess will find out the right date at the dating scan...better to be a week behind than be put back a week when that happens! haha

Evening ladies. Wow it's been busy in here today! Just got back from seeing my midwife, she was lovely, spent an hour answering my millions of questions! I have a form for twice weekly HCG levels but couldn't get it done today cos pathlab was closed by the time I got there!
I will see her again at 10 weeks. Dumb thing was I came out of the consult room and one of the girls from work was in the waiting room so now our secret is out!! But she has promised not to say anything.
Shelley - Congratulations! Welcome to May Mummies!
Sufergirl - the MW said to me not to worry about the HCG levels doubling as long as there is a good jump and yours definately was
Emmecat - I took six HPT's and they were all still really faint until I waited 3 whole days and took another one 16DPO and it was definately much darker

Ok everyone, this might be a dumb question, but how do I get a ticker on my profile?

Mrs B- great news about your lovely midwife!
I'm feeling like a real dumb @ss.... just took another first response now and it looks like a BFN.... What's going on? Is my wee just too diluted or am I losing another pg?!

Hi everyone,
Glad to see we have some more May Mummies joining in!
Surfergirl, good to see your bloods are rising. Hang in there and try to keep positive.
I'm exhausted today, mind you I have been pounding the pavement in Brisbane trying to find us somewhere to live as we move over in a couple of weeks time. So my baby will be born in Oz!! Oh no! Just kidding, I will be happy as long as it's born at all!!
I have quite a lot of cramps yesterday and today. Feels quite uncomfortable sometimes. Makes me worry a bit but no bleeding so will just hope its my ligaments & other bits down there preparing for the next 8 months.
I'm not sure whether or not to get any more hcg bloods done. Maybe I'll just wait until we move over here and then see how I feel.
Have a lovely evening

Emmecat- I think you should test again tomorrow morning, when HCG levels are concentrated in your wee You are only 13DPO aren't you? So your HCG levels will still be quite low and may not be high enough to show up in an afternoon test =o)
I did one test in the afternoon and it was probably the faintest one of the lot.
I will take a picture of my tests and post it for you to see

Welcome Shells,
It is great to have so many ladies who are going through the same thing to just chat, rant, cry type scream. It has made the last couple of weeks so easy.
I found out I am not actually due on the 5th May I am actually due on the 1st.
I was worried about going into labour on my Daughters Birthday but specialist said they would bring me on once I hit May. YAH
CarrieMum, I am from Brisbane so if you need any help or advice on where to live let me know. I know Brisbane like the back of my hand. PM me any questions you may have.
I just placed a bid on a doppler, does anyone else have one?
Hope you are all feeling well and babies are all tucked up tight inside.

Thanks Maudie23! Very kind of you to offer your help!
I did some calculations and according to my LMP I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Nice to know. I've also done some reading on cramps and it seems they are VERY common and so is a bit of bleeding so hopefully we'll all be ok.
So nice to have the support of this forum

Actually I am only 12DPO (i think)..........and now I can see the faintest of faint lines but I am SO paranoid from losing the last 2 pg's..... please forgive me if I sound like such a worrier..... I guess the crampy type feelings are coming a bit more often tonight, not like AF cramps, more a draging kind of feeling. No bleeding or anything though and not painful, just....full? IYKWIM?
Mrs B- PLEASE post your HPT cos I bet it's not as faint as mine lol
We could have a contest of faintest line lol
