ok so we're getting a kitty in a couple of weeks we already know that it is a grey tabby kitten, very very cute.

Me and the girls think that a nice name would be tiggy... kinda like tigger but different.

mike want's to call it widget (i know... WTF) i hate that name

what do you think, and anyone else have ideas for names.

our last cat was called Joey. i can't remember why we called him that but there was a reason, something about his small cuteness.   we used to call him josephina lots though lol, poor guy.

anyway ideas would be great

It wasn't advertised in the Longburn school newsletter was it? My mate just picked a tabby kitten up from them and they had another one to find a home for lol.

My cat was called Widget. She had three legs and was the coolest guard cat out. She died last year of liver cancer

What about Rielly? A little boy I know named his cat "Dog" which cracked me up. I always thought Dave or Steve would be funny names for a cat.

My two are Honey and Felix.

I went to the SPCA to get one kitten and came home with two. It's actually less work as they keep each other entertained and it's easier to get them to sleep as they curl up together. They still sleep together at night as i'm too paranoid to leave them outside at night time

That name makes me think of indian food ....mmmm, tikka masala!

I don't like cutesy obvious names for pets.  My cat is called Oscar (after Oscar de larenta) and the one before was Clyde.  I quite like Cleopatra for a cat (although it'd probably suit a black cat more).

Our cat is Cali cause she's calico, had a ginger cat we called Merlot.
Our other cats have had proper names; Sophia and Araminta.
I named my kitten Jack after Jack from Lost as we found him in the park.
There's always Tabitha, have the girls come up with any names?
My niece named her cat Delta, she likes Delta Goodrem

I had a Calico coloured tom cat named just that "Calico" and darker ginger tom named Matrix (after Transformers, not the movie)

We have three ginger ninjas now, named Hummer, Arnta & Oliver

What about De-Ja (short for De Ja Vu) or Ricochet for a name??

We got one cat 8 years ago from the SPCA.
We were adamant to only have one cat.
A week later we were at the SPCA picking up a cheeky wee tortoiseshell.
They keep eachother company and snuggle together when it's cold.
I highly recommend getting two

But if you do stick with one, I prefer Tiggy (makes me think of Mrs. TiggyWinkle the Beatrix Potter hedgehog).

My test for naming pets is to call out their different names...
Would you feel more comfortable calling out "TIGGYY!!!', "GARY!!" or "WIDGET!!" from your doorstep at night?

hahahah GARY!!!
