Topic: Have you ever lived in Tawa? Posted: 09 December 2008 at 11:00am |
I'm just curious because for a little suburb it appears that quite a few OB members have lived there.

I don't know if Janie or Lizzzzie post in the general section but they're both from Tawa too, as was Kazzle and Mamapickle.

DH always says that house prices are better in Tawa, and my response has remained the same 'I'm not livin in flippin Tawa' and I have no idea why I would take against a little suburb, It has become a running joke. I just think it's cos I love living in the southern suburbs and being in the city and I know Tawa is not in the wops but psychologically it seems miles out

I lived in Newlands before we moved here and although that's only 10 mins drive from the city (about 10 mins closer to town than Tawa) but I've also found it's quicker to get to work from Tawa because of the train. Once you get on in Tawa there's only 3 brief stops until you're in the city.

My parents lived there when I was born. They moved to Karori before I was old enough to remember though.
