Kylah has a really awful cough. Like choke, gag and vomit because shes coughing so much and so hard.

We went to Bealey ave afterhours today but after waiting 2 hours to be seen we had to go, Kylah was cracking up and really needed dinner. Grrr!

Im not sure what to do. Shes not allowed cough syrup, and theres nothing you can buy for a cough..

Should we take her back there? We will end up having to wait the same amount of time, or should i just sit up with her tonight and let her crash on me, it seems lying down makes her worse, and go to her octor tomorrow?

Personally, I would take her cos I know I would be paranoid all night if I didn't. Have you had a chat to Healthline?

Yeah i rang them last night when she was up half the night vomiting from coughing so hard!

Shes fallen asleep now, im going to take her as soon as she wakes up because i know she will.

We almost took her to the hospital last night she was coughing so horribly, but healthline told us to take her outside and it stopped her coughing for awhile.

Go to the medical centre on moorhouse ave (by dennys) if you can get there before 8 - alternativley just go to the hospital! You're probly gonna get seen quicker at the hospital too

You can give her pamol in the usual doses to help ease her throat. Given the time of night I'd give her pamol and let her fall asleep on you (if that's most comfy for her) and go see your GP in the morning.

Kandice just take her straight to a and e, it will probably be a bit quieter than after hours. Babies shouldn't have to wait so long.

Well we ended up taking her to afterhours again, man i hate that lace, how they can charge $40 for a 16 month old child is beyond me, and they werent going to take us because i couldnt pay today but can on tuesday.

She has whooping cough he thinks, but then again he wasnt sure.

Said to give her cough medicine if we want but he thinks its a load of crock and wont work.

Back to square one.

How frustrating. Have to admit, the cost of the private clinics is one reason I go to ED sometimes
