Ooooooo .... D'ya wanna go Lildo?? LOL
They might well be, but are they as pretty??
Hey Jess - The ladle thing started in the 'Girls who are trying' thread ...basically I bought an effing expensive ladle by accident! It was 30% off, and still cost me $41.30 But it's a very cool ladle
The rest, as they say, is his-tory! (and documented at the beginning of this thread)

yea, you have a good point, i am sure yours will be very pretty. you can pass it on to your grandchildren when you die.... that way there might be enough use out of it to justify the price (hahahaha, sorry, laughing at my own wit )
i am a bit sad today, our cat got run over, am feeling really weepy and sad, not to mention a little insane and miss xanthe keeps saying to me "richards not in the garden, richards not dead" - we tried to explain it to her, and dh came home from work and buried him. she put flowers on the garden where he is, but doesnt quite grasp it..

TIme for the rainbow bridge poem me thinks
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oh, Lyla ...I'm so sorry. That's horrible, and awful and sad.
You have my permission to continue taking the micky about my ladle now (which, incidentally Sarah Beth is not insured, you horrible wench. You're lucky that Maya explained to me that you're just jealous that you don't have such fabulous utensils ).
Oh, and an update on the utensil situation - the husband liked my collection from yesterday (which also cost a fortune) and now wants a fish slice!! Maybe I should tell him the shop burned down overnight or something ....

Well, I'm not in tears. I had the good sense not to finish reading the poem after the first two lines. I could see where it was going ...

PS. Lyla - I meant to say sorry about your cat, but I was too busy crying...
Ginger - just where exactly is this shop? On second thoughts, don't tell me...

Do you know ...I'm a bit worried about my utensils now that Sarah has brought up insurance. What if someone was to look in my kitchen window and see the utensils and think "Goodness! Those are the most marvellous utensils I have ever seen! Especially that ladle!! That is such a fabulous ladle!! I'm going to break into that house and steal those utensils for myself ..."
Maybe I should insure the utensils....
Or maybe I should just insure myself for when the husband finds out how much I spent!
(Maya - its Art de vivre in the Rialto in Newmarket and it's closing down - hence the sale!)

providing your sum insured reflects the value of the ladle and other utensils they will be fine, however to be on the safe side, I would double your sum insured, effective immdeiately!
