Hey there girls, just curious to see how many times you ring your m/w??? I am very easy going and havent rung her once. So interested to see what you girls have to say.

i called her a few times when i was having my adhesion issues and also today to ask about stuff but otherwise not a heck of alot unless i needed to

I think I rang my midwife once and that was because I had some light bleeding but other than that I had no probs and was like you, easy going.

It's funny, because I have friends that ring there m/w all the time, and I think to myself gosh they must get sick in tired of such in such ringing. I know its there job - but you know, we are only human.

Hee hee funny, I just hung up from her!! I rang her maybe two or three times really early on as I had some bleeding, then again to ask about chicken pox as my nephew had them (around 17 weeks) and then just now to see if she had my results back from my polycose test and bloods. which I'm happy to say came back all normal - yay for me!!!

I have probably called my m/w about 5 times since being pregnant and 2 of those calls was to find out the results of my 20 week scan which were all good I have found that reading info on this website has answered a lot of my queries and asking friends/family questions so haven't felt the need to ring m/w

I am one of those people who rang her midwife often....I was a very paranoid 1st time pregnant woman....I am sure she was sick of me!!

I have a doctor but I can call her any time I need to. So I haven't! I don't know if it's that I'm pretty easy going with everything or what but I haven't felt the need. We've always covered everything in the visits and everything else has been answered here.
Lucky I've had no issues though otherwise it might be a different story.

I will ring my midwife anytime there is something that worries me, that I can't find an answer to myself. This time its been about 4 times i think?? I'm lucky though, my midwife is so easygoing and doesn't make me feel stupid if i ask her really random things so I never feel like I am bothering her

I have only rung mine once and that was when I had a bit of bleeding. Otherwise I get what I need from here or other people, I would only ring if I thought there was somehtin wrong, any questions etc can wait till the next appointment.

Ive phoned her a couple of times but thats only because of the diabetes and once the other day regarding pains/discharge and also to chase up the hospital regarding the diabetes. I try to find the answer myself or ask my sister or BIL as they are a nurse and doctor so can answer lots of my questions

I have been ringing my midwife quite often over the last 6 weeks, cos been having lots of problems with headaches/ blurred vision/ low BP. She has also been coming here once a week, and even came to my Ob appt at the hosp. I have been feeling a bit guilty about needing her so often, but have only rang when I am getting desperate. Talked to her about it and she is more happy for me to ph, than worry. I can text her with non- urgent stuff.

I rang her twice when I had bleeding, once after my 9 week scan to tell her there were two babies, and a few times since then just to sort out the shared care arrangement with the OB. I feel like I am annoying her all the time, but when I think about it, I'm actually not that bad!

i hardly ring my midwife at all, this time and last time with jack. both (so far) have been relatively easy pregnancies so there hasn't really been a need to talk to her between the regular visits.

The only time I've rung my midwife was to make an appointment to meet her!
I know I can ring her whenever I need to, just haven't had to yet. Hopefully I will have to in the next few days ... to tell her I'm in labour ... come on baby!!!!

I've found this website the best for info and advice so I have only called her 2 or 3 times at the most (3rd time was this morning lol). But in saying that I have had a very easy trouble free pregnancy *touches wood* so I haven't needed to talk to her other than at normal appointments
I have felt that I don't want to busy her with little questions I know I can find here or on the net, I just think of other women with "real issues" needing to get hold of her.

I've call her once when i got a skin rash, other wise most of the time when i have experienced something odd ive had an appointment with her the next day so i discuss it with her then......but i always get told off, she wants me to ring her straight away...And now that im almost at the business end of my pregnancy she wants me to be in contact with her day or night if anything unusual happens.

I ring mine a fair bit. well not really ring I text her lot's which is great that way if she is busy she just get's back to when she can. Inever rang my midwife in Palmy unless it was to chage an appointment or something, but this midwife is heap's better then my other one and I could ring Liz anytime even if it was just for something dumb.

I have rung my midwife about 3 times so far. I think that you should ring your midwife as much as you feel u need to. That is what she is there for. its their job. Especially if you are a first time mum.

I have txt my midwife a handful of times, but usually to do with paperwork or something, have only rung her a couple of times for stuff that was starting to get a bit out of hand like when my ligaments got inflamed
