....or what ever they are called. You know the ones in a cupcake, that are chocolatey and not sticky like your ordinary ricebubble slice??

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any good simple recipes to make some....

Thanks

The 'traditional' recipe (that we were fed in the 80's) is rice bubbles, kremelta (vegetable shortening - in with the oils at the supermarket i think), icing sugar, cocoa and dessicated coconut. not exactly the healthiest treat on the planet, but brings back memories! (and yes, I'm making them for the 1st birthday party this weekend! lol)

The recipe is also in the edmonds cookbook as well as on the kremelta container.

the traditional recipe is probably equivalent to just melting chocolate as vegetable shortening, cocoa and sugar is essentially most chocolate these days. I wonder if it stems from the days when chocolate wasnt so readily available

i agree on the one with the mars bars its very good. Although having said that so is if you make the old recipe in two halfs then make some caramel put that in the middle then top with remaining rice bubble mixture. Oh so good but very very naughty
