Hi there roughly how many LMC visits do I need to get? after teh 12 week mark that is?

What do you mean by that? There is no law saying how many visits you need it depends on your circumstances but generally its monthly up until 28 weeks, then fortnightly until 36 weeks, then weekly until you give birth. Thats a pretty rough guide though as you cannot predict what will come up.

I am just trying to get an estimate of how much it will cost me for a private Ob, I want to put the money away now, thank you for your help.

I think its just over 5k? (not sure though) and I think you pay a total "package" not per visit

Also depends where in NZ you live - about $3000 in CHCH, and yes - total fee not per visit.

Mine charged $4500 for a twin pregnancy, $3000 I think for a singleton.

Its about $3500 here and there is no garauntee that you will see "your" OB on the day (there are only two)

I think my OB was $3600? and that's in Auckland. There were 4 of them, you met them all throughout your pregnancy and then one of them was on call each night.

I've heard generally $5k - Unless you come under the timaru DHB in which case having an obs as your LMC is free.

I've also heard fees are between $3-$5k also.

Plus as an aside....every time I see your name Genevieve it keeps freaking me out 'cos it's my name and I keep wondering what I posted that I forgot about!!
