It took at least 3 days for it to work for us, and at 15 months DD was prescribed 0.5ml 3 times a day.

Looks like I'm haunting you!! 0.3ml three times a day when it was bad at the beginning when I first introduced formula feeds & it took about 48hrs to kick in. Subsequently its worked within 24hrs off just 1- 2 doses. Things are back to normal now that G has solids properly established. It can be quite rough on little tummies according to our paed, he suggested either adding it to her bottle, or getting a big syringe & mixing in a bit of milk with the 3ml to ease it through her tummy & that seemed to work!

I cant remember what the maximum dose is, but I have used these under hospital instruction. even then they took 3 days to work, and they can be put in a wee bit of juice.
I also gave my girl organics? prune and apple baby food, but what diod the trick was glycerine suppositories, as it had been a while since she had been and that got things moving well.
I used these on my very tiny 3 month old, so they are safe, but to be honest, it depends on how long its been and what your babies diet has been recently
Were the drops prescribed?
