Topic: Any one due in April Posted: 15 September 2006 at 12:16pm |
I know it seems soooo far away but is there anyone out there due in April 07. This will be my first and so far I'm scared, paranoid, happy and ready to burst into tears. Can't wait till the first trimester is over I might start to feel a bit safer.

Kazza I don't know anyone due in April but hopefully some more mums will join you in the next couple of weeks
How are your symptoms going? Hopefully the paranoia is replaced with excitement in the near future.

I have been lucky so far no morning sickness, just very tired by the evening. the hardest thing so far is not telling anyone at work, especially when you just want to have a little nap or bite someones head off. Mum2three isn't far behind me as I', due near the end of April.

wow April may ..... seems so far away and I bet it comes really quickly. We found out early and Nov seemed miles away and now its 10 weeks to go - although that still feels like miles away I know its not.
Hope alls well with you... things can get better and you start enjoying pregnancy..

Yep, I'm a first time April mum-to-be too! Very exciting, huh?!
Lucky you with no morning sickness!! Overall, I don't think mine's too bad really. Usually just nausea, but sometimes actually being sick too...fun.
I think I'm due 23 April, but hopefully having a dating scan soon to check.
Not telling people is SOOOO hard! I'm finding it really hard at work too - so exhausted and sometimes sick that I know I'm not really performing at my best and I'd like to tell them why. But then, we haven't told friends and family yet, so I just can't tell work before them!

Hi Littlejo, nice to have another April/May Mum. I'm dying to go for my first scan but my midwife said cause I'm a larger lady that there wasn't much point so I have to wait till after Mid Oct. We have told some friends and family, but I work with a Lady that I am very good friends with and I have told her so I can moan and groan to her when I get tired or grumpy, which helps.

Kazza - it doesn't matter how 'big' you are for u/s. I am definitely a larger lady too and I had scans at 5 and 6 weeks without any problems at all.

wow 15 scans ..... I'm excited cause I get to have three (20 weeks, 29weeks (we paid for) and one at 34 weeks and maybe one more)....
Just to let you april/may mums I told work quite earlier on as I thought if anything should happen then they would understand, especially my manager I thought needed to know.. but we did tell most people early so didn't have to be careful for it 'slipping' out

Is anyone else so tired at the moment that taking a nap in the toilet cubicles at work is starting to look like a really good idea. Would try at my desk but the phone keeps ringing.

I am having afternoon sleeps still and i'm nearly half way through. It could mean that you are lacking in iron, so it couldn't hurt to get a pregnancy multivitaim.

Thanks, I'm already taking those Elivit vitamins, But lately it seems I can't sleep past 5am, think it is taking its toll this week.

Actually, I'm having just the same trouble!!
I go to bed at a reasonable hour to try and get a good night's sleep, but always seem to wake up at 4 or 5 am. So am still shattered the next day...
In my last job, one lady was preggy, and for a few months she brought in a bean bag and put it in one of the meeting rooms so she could sneak off for a nap at lunch time! Sounds more and more like a good idea to me...

Hmmm that sounds a lot better then taking a nap in the toilets. Might try that once I've told everyone at work.
I've heard that this is your body training you for all the sleepless nights to come, could be something in that.
