Might depend on the reason for the csection? Maybe ring and ask them or your midwife?

If you have had a sucessful vaginal birth thy are more likely to allow you to birth there. Im am pregnant with #2, #1 resulting in emergency csec and they will not allow me to birth at the birth centres

I know in Chch they won't 'let' you go for a vbac at a maternity unit. Your choices are either a home birth or a base hospital birth. Do they have the capacity to do emergency caesareans there? Probably the only way to know is to ask your midwife. Birthing units are suppose to be for 'low risk' women so they decline anyone higher risk to cover their own butts basically.
