Wow, so much exciting news on here - congrats to all those who are expecting! All the best for your IVF Katie, thinking of you. My DD is now 8 months, the time is flying by so quickly. I couldn't be a happier mother and it's amazing how the journey - all the waiting, pain, tears and fears - paled into insignificance once I had my little one in my arms. DH and I regularly talk about the dream of adding to our little family but we're realistic that even with one miracle baby and one embie in the freezer it is still a dream which may not become a reality. I think of you all (and those who have left) often and will always be grateful for the support I received in this group xo

Best of luck for your scans Faith & Kiwi!
All is quiet here. I'm 17w and think I'm feeling small occasional baby movement. Only a couple more weeks until the anatomy scan :)

Best of luck with injections etc Katie! Keep us updated as you go :)
Faith, awesome that your scan went well :)
Kiwi, eep sometimes it feels real, other times it doesn't! I can feel the changes and my uterus is forcing my chubby belly out so I look more pregnant than I am (but clothes still hide it). Still haven't told many people or bought anything!

Hi everyone, it is so great to see all the good news going on in here. I'm not sure if anyone remembers me, but I was on here for a short while at the beginning of last year (if anyone was on the KHPP forums, my name was "missingbj"). DH and I have an 11yo son and we have been TTC #2 for 5 years. I had 3 ectopic pregnancies which resulted in me losing both of my fallopian tubes and our only option was IVF. We went through our first IVF cycle at the beginning of last year which unfortunately didn't work. I then had another round in the middle of last year which we got 3 embryos from. We transfered them all individually but none of them resulted in a pregnancy. In March this year I had an exploratory laparoscopy and hysteroscopy during which they did an endometrial scratch and found some endometriosis (which they removed) and lots of adhesions, but no reason for the IVF not working. We then had our last shot at IVF in May this year, and it worked!! So I am now 15wks and so glad to be over the nausea and exhaustion of the first trimester. And I'm sure I felt some little flutters today. For anyone who is reading this and is still trying hard to TTC, I do know how hard it is to keep your head held high and how extremely difficult it is to keep the hope alive, but believe me when I say miracles do happen

Lulu, an earlier scan showed that I have (unless it moved?) an anterior placenta so I was surprised to feel movement already. But I've felt more of it now including an actual kick!
Hi Moonglow - great to hear you've had success and are in your second trimester. How exciting for the flutters!
Hi Sandme, welcome! I have mild PCOS but I'm not taking anything for it and we were straight to IVF due to MFI. Are you seeing a specialist or is the metformin prescription through your OB or GP? What's the next steps for you in treatment?

Good to see everyone's good news on here and welcome to those that have just joined the forum. I am not one for forums normally but have found over the last four years this site a godsend. The ladies have really helped with questions I didn't want to ask the gp or the ivf clinic and have listened when I was feeling low or high which has helped heaps as I think I would of driven my hubby mad! We have our 12:5wk scan tomorrow and yes I am freaking out. Fingers and toes are all crossed that I get to see our little bulb and hear it's heartbeat! Wishing everyone else lots of love and good luck.

Hey anydaynow the metformin was perscribed from my GP. I have a 3 month script of that and once my cycles shorten somewhat (i hope) i will get a 21day blood test to check for ovulation as we dont think im ovulating at all. Such a waiting game TTC as it is without this all thrown in the mix. i am really hopeful that the metformin works wonders for me. Partner will do a sperm test aswell to check his swimmers. Not sure what else can be done at this stage.

I was also told by my GP to loose weight. Im 66kg and 156cm tall so i guess carrying probably 7-8kg too much for my short frame lol. Ive been keep note of what i am eating to make myself accountable as i really love sugar. Apparently metformin helos with weight too.

I've heard that metformin works with weight loss too! I hope it helps you with your ovulation. Fingers also crossed that all comes back ok with your husband's test. I understand the frustration with the waiting. It's what always made me the maddest.
Kiwi, hoping for a good scan for you today :)

Scan complete and baby was there!! All seems good heartbeat was good, it was moving its legs and arms. I managed to hold it together until after the scan and then had a cry when waiting for the lift. Was just such a relief!! I'm one happy lady today, we have never got this far before. Finally we are able to tell close family and friends some good news..

Thats awesome Kiwi girl and Faith!! We r 17.5 weeks now and I hv felt a couple of little weird sensations but have not felt any proper movement. It's strange because I have this pregnant belly and GREAT big boobs and everyone can tell that I am pregnant but I still don't feel pregnant. It's all so exciting and surreal. Time just Flys by I must say. How are you going ADN? Am no longer sick and headaches have stopped when I stopped taking iron pills
