Why I love OhBaby:
The community size is great, you can get to know people without feeling too overwhelmed
We can talk about anything!
There's so much great support on here

I don't have many friends (if any) other than my DP.
So for me this site is just great to hear about other mums and also learning to join in.

I love it because of all the usual things people like forums for, and I have never incountered any bad feelings within this community which is unusual because there is usually a bored bad egg lurking somewhere on every forum.
But also I really love the actual way it is designed. at a glance you can see who's posted last, which threads have new posts, I love being able to put the smiley faces on my posts and the avatar's and tickers...mine you, not matter how many times I try and get a ticker it just doesn't work, ah well, must be the pregnancy brain thing....again

I love Oh Baby because...
- no question is a dumb question no matter how dense you feel asking it there will always be one of the experience mums to help you out and you'll always discover that there was at least one other person wanting to know the same random thing.
- You can meet people on here that are going through what you are going through and can relate to your fears/joys. Like the "Due in July" girls I first started talking to when I was 2 months pregnant, we're still hanging around in the "July babies" thread 15 months later! Most of us have met up and had playdates etc.
- and to emphasise that people are going through what you are going through... I'm happy to report that I wasn't the only Mum to a newborn baby that was trying to open her house door with the car alarm remote, or sat in the back seat of the car when it was just me and the baby

Because they pay me!
But seriously, because I have shared the past 4 years of my life with the lovely ladies here, because I have never felt judged (even when I said I didn't like my babies), because I have always felt supported, and because I can always guarantee that no matter what the issue someone else has been thru it too.
But I also want to say a huge thank you to all of you, not just from me but from the whole team here at OHbaby! - our members, our community, is what makes s who we are, and we love you guys!

OH baby is great as I am new to the country and I can ask you ladies what is up and where I can get stuff done.
2. It is great as I feel I am in the process of making real good friends. (and I love making friends and staying in contact.)
3. It is making me all broody again. (okay maybe this one isnt so great as I want to still wait a bit. )
Cant think of others right now but might be due to LO trying to type here with her freaking feet.

Being a newbie, I've found this site very welcoming, and no comment or question is a dumb one... I've found myself laughing out loud at some of the posts and all teary in others... theres some damn cute babies out there too. I don't recall there being sites like this when I had my first two kids, so this is a nice new experience for me.
I think I'll stick around for awhile yet!

I love OhBaby b/c of all the reasons already said!!!
I only discovered this when Brenna was about 3 months and it was only by accident... I didn't even know what a 'forum'was!!
Right from my first post, everyone has been SOOOO friendly and helpful. I love getting on here each night and catching up with how everyones day has been. (I'm a bit more of a 'lurker' than a reply kinda gal - we only have dial up, so posting a reply takes AGES!!! aarrgghh...
I hope I can get to Well in Oct to meet you all!! Got to save some $$$$$$ first - but that's a bit hard with my recent nappy obsession. Thanks guys!!! (I didn't even know about MCN's until I discovered OB.)
Everyone rocks!!!!!

I love Ohbaby for all the sames reasons everyone else had said.
Also because it has giving me more confidence being a first time mum as it can be a bit overwhelming at times.
That you can be yourself and no one judges you.
Last but not least it is a fun place to come when you just need to unwind and your always guaranteed to find a laugh somewhere just to cheer you up when you need it.

All the other reasons, plus, I am the first of all my friends to start my family and the last of all Rods friends to have babies (they all have teenagers), so its great to have other people to talk baby stuff with and not drive your non baby friends nuts. Plus, its nice to vent, as well, and have pity parties..

I know what you mean Annie! When I started having kiddies I knew no one else with preschoolers and we're the first in both our families (there's since been one cousin born and they are not keen for more!). Nice to have people in the same boat... there's bound to be at least one other out of all of us!

I love Oh Baby because
I now have friends all over the country!
I'm not expected to know exactly what I'm doing just because I've got 3 children
There's always support and hugs and shoulders to cry on in the hard times, and cheers and hugs and high-fives in the good times
There's no thread so specific we can't go off-topic at some point!
