hI anna, I had a D&C after my miscarriage, and athough not scared of needles, I found the whole thing stressful mainly just because of why your there. however the staff were great and very understanding. Unfortunately sometimes it's a nessasery evil. I think sometimes they try to do it so quickly you don't get a chance to come to grips with the fact that you've lost baby. I felt a lot of pressure to have my done, but in saying that I had a 3 year old son and couldn't afford any complications from doing it naturally for his sake. Good luck in what you decide, thinking about you.

I had a d & c also, but because I was so young I didn't really know what my options were, and the whole thing is a bit of a blur. I guess the best advice I can give is to trust yourself and your midwife and if the idea of a d & c freaks you out so much, maybe give yourself some time to see if it all happens naturally, and if not in a few days have the d & c. But if your midwife is supportive of you going naturally, I would trust that.

Hiya everyone...

I wanna say a big thanks for all the support!! It has been a rough wee while but I am feeling MUCH better now! Everything you guys have said has been a big help, I don't think I would've managed without it!

Was feeling very sorry for myself as none of my friends have been in contact after finding out what has happened so it has been a bit lonely, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that no one knows what to say... it has been amazing knowing that there is a bunch of gals here who have been so fab!!

MANY MANY THANKS!!
