Topic: Things you wouldnt tell people IRL Posted: 27 July 2007 at 11:28pm |
Ok, so I've noticed that we can pretty much say anything on these boards no matter how disgusting, gross and embarrassing.. So I ask of you, what are some things that you would tell us on here that you wouldn't tell people in real life? I'll start
Three weeks ago I got my first period back after having Sam and unfortunately I was four hours away from home staying at my DPs grans house for the weekend so that we could go to a wedding.
I bled sooooooooooo much it wasn't funny and I was really upset about it because I literally couldn't go two minutes without feeling that awful feeling that only women know about that makes them rush off to the toilet with their thighs clamped firmly together.
Anyway I told my DPs gran what was happening and she offered me some of his dead grandfathers incontinence pull up adult nappies.
Now normally... I would say 'erm.. thanks but no thanks'. But in this case I managed inbetween sobs to croak out a 'yes please, ok *sob* are you sure? thank you, I'm so embarrassed *hiccup* thank you, ok, *sob*'.
So for the rest of the weekend I wandered around wearing adult incontinence diapers that chafed like a bitch and left me with a comely bunch in my undies.
Ok you go.

Ohhh Renee, you have just made my day !
I will have to think about this for a bit and come back, I am usually fairly liberal but obviously sensitive to the context of certain situations etc. (where certain things wouldn't be appropriate)

I'm pretty hard to shock, and pretty open about most things IRL.
But about 30 seconds ago I had to pee and had to use napkins as Willie didn't tell me we were out of flaming toilet paper! Reminds me of back in the days when we were too poor to buy toilet paper and had to use newspaper

Glow!! OMG that is really funny! And Renee, bet you'll never forget that!
I have a similiar story glow that I don't think I've told ANYONE! Even Dh! As it was not long after we'd got married (nearly 8 yrs ago) & I was in the laundry in my nightie (no undies on) sorting the washing & needed to let off - & more than wind came out! It went running down my leg & thankfully the toilet was just next door so woddled to the loo to clean up then jumped straight in the shower! I wasn't expecting anything more to come out that's for sure. But at least i was at home - phew!
I think I'm known to talk openly IRL, I say what everyone else is thinking a lot of the time.
And fattartsrock - I KNOW I've pooped whilst in labour. I thought I felt it come out, so asked my MW "did i just poo?" and she looked & said "yep!", got a cloth & wiped it away.

Hahaha these stories are sooo funny!
It's amazing how many people actually poo themselves once or twice as an adult and would never tell someone in real life.
Reminds me of one morning when I woke up with a HUGE hangover and someone was already in the toilet which was at the other end of the house to the bathroom, bloody weird student flat, so I had to spew in the bath, and the force of the spewing made the other end go as well.
I had to get in the shower like straight away and had to quickly run from the bathroom covering my bits with a hand towel to get to my bedroom so that I could get clothes and a towel.
Thankfully I'm over my wild student drinking days!

LOL some of these stories crack me up!!!
I'm pretty much the same IRL as I am on here so will talk about just about anything really..
Oh yeah, I had been told so much about pooing when you have a baby that I kept worrying about it and hoping it wouldn't happen even though it's totally common and out of your control. My exact words after giving birth were: "Oh my god" (from the relief of it being over), then "Mum did I do a poo?" haha.. She said no, so of course I was quite happy about that...obviously more than wondering if baby had all her fingers and toes

I would say the same thing IRL as I would on here. I guess i probably talk alot more about my kids on here than i would IRL, as the little things get talked about too. IRL I would try and talk less about my kids and try and talk about other things - although my conversation is very limited other than kids.

oh heres one from me... (the poop mentioned reminded me)
This is when my crohns was acting up something cronic -I was talking outside with DH friends GF and knew I needed to go #2. I was trying to hurry up DH but he didn't get the message (grr males and not getting female cues) in the end I had to excuse myself and rush to the toilet, well guess who didn't make it - poop was every where, worse thing was I had to go back out to talk to the GF and so had to rush around getting new knickers etc... LOL Now because I know ppl IRL on here they are gonna look at me differently LOL
