I have downloaded AceMoney Lite as per Genie's post in the Frugal 2010 thread hoping that it will be less timeconsuming than my budget spreadsheet.

Anyway to be able to download my account/transaction details from my accounts the programme wants me to add my bank a/c number and it also mentions entering the password.
Do I do this? Is it likely to be safe? I am not very IT or internet savvy, just know the basics and don't want to end up in trouble with possible hackers etc if I do this

I personally wouldnt do it. I think most internet banking lets you download your statements as CSV file which you may be able to use with your program.

No, definitely don't do it.
The only people who should have that information are you and your bank.

Yup I wouldn't do it, I wouldn't want to risk it.

That's what I thought but then wondered if I was being too paranoid/cautious, obviously not! Thanks
The set up instructions aren't very good but will keep searching for another way to import the info.
