Can I join in too? If you're still looking for a book for May can I suggest one? 'The Time Traveller's Wife' by Audrey Niffenegger. Back blurb is this:
This is the extraordinary love story of Clare and Henry who met when Clare was six and Henry was was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-two and Henry was thirty. Impossible, but true, because Henry suffers from a rare condition where his genetic clock periodically resets and he finds himself pulled suddenly into his past or future. In the face of this force they can neither prevent nor control, Henry and Clare's struggle to lead normal lives is both intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.
Just a suggestion though, happy to go along with anything!

For May, can I suggest "The Alchemist" By Paulo Coelho. Just read it today, is quite short. Perfect for those with not much time to read.
Very thought provoking...... But well written.. Very well written

Has the May book been announced yet? Someone wanna pick a book and post a thread? A great book I read recently was The Playground Mafia by Sarah Tucker.
It's about scandel and bitchiness in the playground, but from the mothers!
