Matt will only just be 2 when this bubba arrives. I was thinking about just using the buggy I've got now to push him around & using a sling for the newborn instead of forking out for a double buggy.
Will this be practical?? How easy is it to walk with a baby in a sling while pushing a pram? I've never used a sling for a newborn before.
How long did your toddler stay in the buggy for? Matt likes getting out & walking, but is happy to sit there & get pushed around when we go for walks outside. He hates sitting in the pushchair when we're in shops though. Would he get the use out of a new pram or is he likely to be walking everywhere soon???

Han will be 2y 4m in February, and I am just going to use the one we have and sling/pack for newborn. Not sure how pracitcal it will be, but I would rather wait until the time to see. If I find it too big of a problem then I may get a double later on. At the moment she prefers to walk, but will sit in the buggy for long walks.

I had Hannah and Briona in a stroller and Kryssi in a sling until recently. Briona does like to walk a lot but when we go for a good walk around the block it's a bit far for her. A sling is great for the early days, when the baby is 6-8mos they get a bit heavy! and it's nice to have a double stroller. Recently as Kryssi approached the 9kg mark I went and bought a cheap double stroller from The Warehouse. It doesn't recline, so it's no good for a baby under 4mos, but it does the trick now that Kryssi is heavier and it was just $90.

I have to say I would go for a double buggy with one in front of the other or buggy with toddler seat. I say this because my back gets soooo sore wearing Caprece so I way prefer having her in a buggy and now shes a bit older she loves having a wee look around.

For the first 3 months I had Jeremy in my front pack and pushed Cailin in the stroller. This was 100% fine round town etc, but no good for your back on a longer walk. Also Jeremy grew tall quite fast so his legs would hit against mine as I walked but no biggie.
I then bought a kiddy board for Cailin but she is a shorty and can't see over the pram so jumps off after about a minute...so I have just bought a double mountain buggy and it is the bees knees, I was so happy to be able to go out walking with both kids I even shed a tear (bloody hormones) once I got out onto the streets
