well i've tried googling it and not having much luck so thought id ask my very helpful oh babiers as im a bit concerned . I have just had my period for the 4th time in just 5weeks!!!! Im not on the depo and havent been for about 3 years ( i know this can cause irregualr periods) , i am on the noriday mini pill and since having DD 15months ago my periods havent really been that regualr, i brestfed for just under one year but its been about 3months since i completly stopped  . iv skipped periods alot in the last 15months and gone upto 3 months without one but i have never had multiple periods in a month and 4 is a bit ridiculous. does anyone have any idea what it could be ???? i really dont want to go to the dr and spend $50 if i can help it but im thinking i might just have to because im starting to feel quite tired and weak after having 4 in just over a month. any suggestions of what it may be would be fantastic

How awful for you!! I think you should see the Dr... I had lots of unexplained bleeding not long before getting pregnant which was in the end put down to a hormonal imbalance - it could be something like that... but really best to be checked out IMO... and I got a bit anemic too so maybe you need to get ya iron level tested as well...
mum to 3 lovely girls :D

How long is the bleeding lasting each time? (how much bleeding do you think there is etc - I guess I'm asking is it a real period or intimittent bleeding or similar? When I first went on the pill as a teenager I had a whole month of bleeding as the hormone levels weren't right for my body)

And... have you done a pregnancy test?

(you don't have to answer either of those on here, just something else to think about, things that you will get asked by a GP)

I would personally pay the money to see a GP, you may have something going on that is not normal, maybe even requiring blood tests etc.

(((hugs)))) as it can't be nice.

the first and second time was a normal 5ish day period , the last 2 have been about 3days so a bit more than just spotting .

i havent had a pregnancy test but have been taking the pill like clockwork and i definatly dont "feel" pregnant .

think it possibly could just be a homronal thing , i have been on norriday for a while . i was on it prior to having DD and then started again on it 4months after having DD .... so coming up a year.

Yea think i am just going to have to go to my GP and might take some iron supplements too .

Thanks ladies

I took Noriday after Hannah.
I had quite a few periods over the space of a couple of months not long after starting it.

Lots of breakthrough bleeding, spotting and some clotty stuff.

It took about 3 months for it all to settle and things to go back to normal

How about going to Family Planning? Surely this would be within their scope of expertise?

Oh man that sucks I had 11 periods over 4months but was while I was still BFing, and once I stopped BFing that stopped too... Could it be the minipill causing it? I know when I was on the minipill (not noriday - was years before having kids) I had bleeding on and off the whole time I was on it. Hope your GP can give you some answers!! Can you go on the combined pill now that you're not BFing?

I had a similar thing on noriday. I agree go to family planning, its a lot cheaper than the GP!

I had that happen to me when I came off the pill but if you are on the pill I have no idea why your body is doing that. I would suggest going to the dr
