I think you answered your own question

A few good points have been raised. Firstly, you can start studying while preggy and get practise in developing some smaller websites while at home with your babies. And technology does change so quickly it would be good not taking a break later on.

Best of luck with your decision

Baby, baby, baby

Careers will always be there for the taking but very rarely will the "right" moment come along to have a bubba.
Plus you can always study via correspondence (if it's possible...or your thing).

Baby, I studied when I was pregnant and it was fine, a bit tiring but managable.

I have decided that with the career I want I am leaving the studying till a lot later when my boys are a lot older so I can concentrate on that when they are older.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Baby here too - that's what we did, although I studied while pg and graduated 2 weeks before Jack was born.

I was always worried about if I went and started my career, maybe I'd get too involved in it and wouldn't want to take another break to have another child, so I stayed at home an extra year and had Ava.

Baby then career....or study while you have a baby, if you can do it extramurally.

It is definitely possible - I studied all last year (7 papers) including 3 papers just after having the girls. My tutors were very supportive though, and gave me extra time to complete assignments etc in the 4 1/2 weeks I was up at the hospital with the girls. I did another 2 papers over summer school, and I'm doing 3 papers this semester and 3 next semester - all extramural. By the time I finish my degree, the girls will be 3 years old and we will have hopefully had another by then, and I can put it into practice part-time.

Baby here and I agree with minik8e.

Now that the twins are nearly one I decided to do some study and my aim is to have a degree by the time the boys are five and are going to school but as I'm doing it part time it might well take longer than the five years

Tricky situation but you seem  to have a fair idea of what you want. I'm in my 3rd year of full time study (next year being my last..fingers crossed), am 25...and wonder about having another baby...have done so for the past 2 years..and thought about the baby, study balance. Ideally I'd like to be pregnant this time next year...and due Nov/Dec...as my studies will be finished by then and I can take a few months off before starting as a New Grad. If you want to study now and let a new baby happen..when it happens..there are definitely ways of doing both.

Hey Lisa

I think baby is the way to go. Because at the end of the day, it would be harder I think to start the study with a small baby, rather than start the study whilst pregnant?
Plus, like others have said, the age gap between the girls and baby would be good, if you left it longer, then the gap gets bigger, and I think the dynamics between the kids change.

Hi Lisa, as others have said your heart says baby, you have the savings and the cravings so why not while you can. You never know what your body will do in a few years (even though you have youth on your side). Go for babies and then you can put all your effort into study/career when you're ready again.

Also, by having a baby it doesn't mean you can't learn as much as you can or study part-time if you have the energy.

We had the same predicament (spel?) but chose Career as the opportunity was too good to turn down and we needed something to make us money than start eating into our savings by having another baby. I have to say my cravings for having another one has died down (a bit) now as I have something to sink my teeth into and am so pleased with our choice.
3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys.

Wow thats a huge amount of people saying baby! It's funny I haven't been back to check the posts for a couple of days and in that time I decided to go with study first then baby but now I've read all this I'm back to being undecided lol!

No I think I am going to go study first and I'll put off another baby for maybe 2 years. I guess I'm scared that having 3 young kids will put me off study. I know how hard it's going to be juggling 2 toddlers and a year of study but to add a pregnancy or baby on top of that would be too much! I really do want the baby now but after careful consideration I think my need for another baby is feeling a little selfish I think the best thing for me to do is concentrate on the girls and make sure their future is a brighter one. Then when once I have got my business up and running I'll start thinking about a baby again.

Who knows maybe I'll change my mind a week from now haha.

lol, well least you made your decision on our own, and not influenced by the posts. The time will fly by. Honestly this time last year I was cringing at the thought of waiting 2 years to start trying, but now it's only just around the corner...albeit a year long corner! lol.
