Hey guys,
Im 13 weeks and a lil bitskis (have scan on monday will hopefully confirm!) and I am flying to Auckland on Wednesday I'm In Chch,,, please please tell me this is okay as I really have to go and I thought it would be cool....
is it?

i flew pregnant at about 12 weeks, i didn't know at the time, but i was fine anyway. also flown at 32 weeks and was fine then too. take plenty of snacks though as i got really really hungry, and drink lots of water. you'll be fine!

Flying is fine, especially short flights. Dehydration is the main thing you have to watch, and also you can't in planes that don't have pressurised cabbins. I flew alround the world (kinda) in my first trimester, and also flew between auckland and chch at 34/36 weeks

I flew to Syndey at about 5 mths (had to tell my Dad sometime!) and it was all good.
Doctors generally don't recommend long haul flights in the last trimester as there is a small chance of premature labour and birth.

yeah, i had to get a note from the doctor to say i could fly. To tell the truth, the flight itself was fine. Apart from freedom air who let a 8 month pregnant woman haul up her handluggage all alone, while the flight attendants watched from above. wasn't impressed with that! then again, on the way back travelling with Jake at 6 weeks, they were fantastic!

This is helpful to know, We are flying to Nelson from Invercargill at New Years and ill be 12 weeks, SO good to know its ok..

Like Lou I flew from Germany to NZ at about 10 weeks. Just drunk lots of water and moved a lot. Also although I had yucky morning sickness ont he plane it didn't bother me on the plane thank god!!
