i know this has been done a few times (well im guessing it has! lol) im not sure what they are called are they 3d or 4d??? anyway... just wondering .. where in nz do they actually do them? is it just auckland and hamilton/ or can you get them in christchurch or wellington?
i would really love to have one done being my last pregancy- not sure if i'd be able to if i dont live in the area or not... i really dont mind paying, cost wouldnt bother me.
so people from welly or christchurch etc... do you have places? i have tried searching on the net but have no luck.
im in chch and i know when i was preggie with addison they did one at christchurch womens but it wasnt offered as a service anywhere. They have the equipment to do it but the staff dont really know how to use it. I did get one sonographer who was really good and felt bad because they had booked me in for a growth scan but it hadnt been two weeks since the last one and i had come out in the snow to have the scan so she said shall we just have a look at baby anyway and ended up doing a 3d one and gave me about 4 photos to take home, it was awesome. But unless things have changed since i was last preggie there is no where in chch that you can actually book a 3d scan but not sure about a 4d one
yep i agree with my2angels..there is nowhere you can choose to get one done in chch:( it sucks.. as she said chch womens has it but only for special reasons:( isnt 3d the same as 4d except 4d is in moving motion 3d just in pics?
I really would like one of them...but then I kinda want a suprise as to what our baby looks like seems as we are finding out the sex!Tomorrow!! Yiipeeeee
oooh exciting sheza! all the best for your scan my bubs didnt cooperate for my scan in finding out sex, its legs were pretty closed- the lady could see something but how bubs was positioned she couldnt be sure if it was its cord or something else couldnt see the cord insertion.
I had 4D scans at 19 and 27 weeks with the gremlins, won't bother at 19 weeks this time as I have to have a scan at around 34 weeks to check baby's kidneys so will get a 4D one done then.

Wow Rachel your pregnancy has gone so fast I can't believe your 23 weeks already. I hope you find a place to get one they are so cool I wish I had one.
lyeah it feels like its going pretty fast, but the life is busy so it makes i go that litle bit faster. im not too worried if i cant get one done will just have to wait till one of my kids has one in the future! lol, hopefully they'll take there mummy along im sure when they have kids they will be done.
Yer i was gonna get a 3d/4d done at my big U/S but will wait till into the 30s now
The 19-20 week ones all babies pretty much look the same, but the third tri ones you can really see bubs features.
