I watched 4 of my mother's births and still had to leave the room immediately following the head being delivered. I never saw any of mine, well I did see some with Briona but they wheeled the mirror away for the episiotomy!!! Thank God!!!

I've only seen two births other than my own three and they were at completely different ends of the spectrum. One was a drug free, simple, quick second baby with no complications, the other was an horrific VBAC which ended with baby being born blue and needing resuscitation, but either way it's a powerful, sobering experience.

Just kidding, I don't like seeing all that blood, I even asked for DD to be cleaned up before I held her Funny thing is, DP is even more squemish than I am! And he cut the cord lol

Wow..That was amazing. I thought i would be quite grossed out by it, and it would put the fear of god into me, considering im only eight days away from that...But i actually found it awe inspiring and somehow really beautiful! What a wonderful doctor he is! Fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

I told my DH about it and described the pictures and he agreed telling me how amazing it was to watch me give birth. I got all misty eyed
