Midwife hasnt checked me yet, she wont until Im in actual labour at hospital. Im guessing I must somewhat dialated with all the contractions and my cervis is definitly starting to soften and thin out cos of all the "shows" Ive had.
With Jack I had a few false starts too and midwife did a s&s 3 days before I went into labour and I was already 2 cm dilated and fully effaced so I'd say your body will be doing the same thing.
I just thought I'd say as well that mine never got completely regular, 2 would be a minute apart and then the next would be 3 or something right up until transition. I also could never really tell if one was starting or not because of the all over ache. Gas was useless because of that, by the time I realised one was happening it was too late for the gas to work. It does make a pretty fun time between conractions tho being as high as a kite and laughing at everything.
