Hi freckle, I think it was something to do with producing enough healthy eggs, at each cycle , depending on how bad the condition got. I would imagine, that with one complication already age wouldnt be helping if you look at the stats. At my scan way back them my ovaries were just a black mass from all the cysts so perhaps they thought it would progress. TBH I didnt pay alot of attention then .
I imagine everyone is different though, and it cant be that bad, I have concieved within 3 months with each child so far, and Im 33 now
I did once see a specialist when I was thinking about freezing some healthy eggs, just in case, and they did try me on metformin to see if that helped with balancing hormones/insulin and ovulation I think, but that was 6 years ago and I hated the smell so flagged it
Sorry Im not much help, Im a bit whatever will be
I found after being on the pill for ages my cycle was much better and even more so since having my first child, although Im very sensitive to which pill I can take and had trouble finding one that didnt make my periods hell, and yeah I just have to look at the wrong food and gain weight!
