cm dilated were you, when you went into established (active) labour? Particularly 2nd time around.
Saw MW on Thurs arvo and I was 3cm dilated and his head is very, very low and she managed to stretch me to 4cm and said it looked all good to go. But still here I am in one piece and extremely sore down there (hurts everytime I walk).
Surely I can't get much more dilated before I go into proper labour ?

With DD1, I vaguely recall 5cm or so? I think it is probably one of those things that could vary quite a lot from woman to woman.
With DD2 no idea - I declined all VE's during labour because I didn't want to get hung up on numbers, as it turns out there wasn't enough time anyway!

I was pretty much the same as you .
I thought it would never start , despite being dilated , went for lots of walks, laid down on my left side in the bath and contractions started the next morning .
I still stayed at 4cms for about 8 hours tho , which was a pain
