Yes defintely a male!

I am 15 1/2 weeks abd losing weight as well. The detitian said you can stay with her after the baby so thats cool. Plus it is a healthy eatin plan. I find silly things send my blood sugars up, especially if have something within the 2 hours. I had a nectarine the other at 5pm (having just got from the hospital appointment which can take up to 2 1/2 hours. So my before dinner reading was higher than normal. Then yesterday drank a glass of sparkling grape juice abot an hour before the reading, forgetting that it may affect it.

How did your baby cope at birth and after? Did the baby have any highs or lows?

I know what you mean. I actually had good morning results when i had eaten a bowl of ice cream after tea the night before, the nights i didnt have ice cream my morning levels seem to be crap! It was really odd.

Both my children struggled with thier sugar levels for a few days but i was bottle feeding so that helped sort it out a little. Kobe was in NICU anyway cos he was 6 weeks early, both were really big for thier gestation, Kobe 7lb 2oz at 34weeks and Addison 8lb 7oz at 38 weeks (induced) Apart from the birth weight and sugar levels both were sweet, had no on going problems and as horrible as it was for me when they had to do all the heal pricking for levels they didnt even seem to notice but I did feel really really guilty that it was my fault they had to go through it all. During the birth was ok, I just had to monitor my levels etc... Kobes heart rate kept dropping but i dont think that was related to the diabetes.

Thanks for that makes me feel better. I've been warned that they probably will induce between 36-38 weeks.

haha, I thought the registrar must be male too! I saw a male doctor mostly, and he said 'odd' things to me about exercise - by that time I was too tired to do much at all and I told him vacuuming the house (at 38 wks preg) HAD to count cos it sure as hell made me sweat!

And don't you love those hospital appts where it seems to take 2 hours plus to see everyone?! By the end, I was totally peeved and one day was going to walk out if it took too long - turned out to be one of my shortest visits!

Hope everything is going well for you today.
Selina
