I think it was moe the they knew how much I wanted them and a couple of them had been pregnant before so knew what cravings were like.

That was a problem working with over 200 people food went missing all the time from the fridge and always happened when newbies started.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Not sure about mock cream - I don't really like it. I like nice freshly whipped cream and I'm sure that's fine if fresh. I'm sure the mock cream will be OK if it's fresh too - I mean if it's made with butter it can't be too good for it to be too old....

I ask brumbies to give me a call when they have creamed their jam donut fingers *drool* then I waddle round and get one...alot of my paper work has big greasy cinnamon thumbprints on it....

personally I wouldn't have buffet, as you can't be sure how hot (or cooked or old) everything is, but apart from that I have eaten more things this time around than I did with Jacob, but won't eat deli salads or meat still. went hard on cheeses a while back, I got it bad for vintage cheddar and creamy havarti *drools* with that preggy classic, pickled onions.

No real "cravings" like last time, but I do have fads, so I just go with it. i do find (as with last time) that when I feel like "something" I want it NOW. Liek today i was thinking about how much more tangier vegemite used to be, and i was watering a the mouth, i could almost smell the way it used to be,a nd I was missing it so bad!!!

Well....

That wasnt a good idea im so hungry now and all i can think about is Cream, Chesse, McDs and donughts all good info but mmmm i want it NOW might have to stop on my way home to get somthing (safe) naughty

And yes i didnt think about that my friends are big on chesse platers and i always have to sit and watch and well Salami is the killer for me salami and Chesse on crackers yummy I think i will organise my own food for my baby shower

but no i just cant my freinds think im strange not eating Tahi or Chinese or any Asian really im craving it but not happy with food sitting around so just wont and well that dosent stop my partners mum trying to serve me left over meat all the time it grates me my parnter finaly stood up for me the other night and siad i CANT have it you should have seen the look on her face and she always says but i did it and the kids are fine best defence i have to that is

There has been a lot of reaserch and advancement in food saftey and things are no longer the same as when you were pregnant

I think the Galaxy cheese is fine (Chives, Smoky, Smoked Ham, Pepper) and well gerkins or onions would go well with that mmmm maybe thats what ill buy

Speaking from a chefs p.o.v I probably would stay away from Buffets as yes you never know just how many times they have reheated their food.
Mock cream 'should' be ok but also depends on how long its been sitting around.
I hate it cause we make homemade Icecream at work and I can't have any (raw egg yolks) in fact there is soooo much yummy food we make that I just can't have. Although I admit that on the VERY rare occasion I have had SOME stuff that I know I probably shouldn't have. But then spent AGES feeling very naughty and guilty with myself.

If/when I have McD's I just ask if I can have a hot one. It must sound kinda silly to them but no one has ever batted an eyelid. You can claim a "medical condition" if you don't want everyone knowing you are preg yet.

Salami - I have now craved salami for part of two pregnancies, I never thought of it being a problem until now. But isn't it the case that the freeze-wrapped (or whatever it's called) salami/luncheon/bier sticks/etc are okay, just don't get from the deli? Every now and then I can't resist a bit of ham and I will get some from the deli but I will only eat it on the day I bought it.

As you can see, I'm not very strict on foods while preg... but then I have never had a listeria scare.

I thought salamis and this types of foods were made from raw meat then cured ? so like smoked fish ham or chicken ?? now im not so sure im going to ask a freind i know whos partners hunts and makes salami will advise

I have always asked for extra Girkin in my Mcds or Chesse and if i dont want just take out but it means you get a fresh buger especially if your getting take aways

Hey we are the customer its not as if they can say no

The best trick to play at McD's is to ask for it to be without something. I was once a McDonald's girl and was a master in the kitchen and it is the best way to get something made freshly.

So far in my pregnancy I've eaten KFC, cream, mock cream, a custard square, a chicken filled roll from a bakery and a bunch of other stuff. I think I'm lacking in paranoia. Although I have stayed away from deli meat and soft cheese, but I never wash salads, and if I drop something on the floor, I'm still going to eat it.
