Morning ladies,
I experienced some really nasty pains last night, has anyone felt like stabbing pains right down below and then up and down your top half of your leg's, its very hard to explain and very painful....

From what I remember, it sounds like the baby could be sitting on your sciatic nerve - and definitely something you should check with your midwife about.

I got pains as soon as baby started to descend which from memory was abotu 32 weeks onwards - sounds similar. shooting down my legs and in my back. Mine were from teh scaitic nerve being pinched. I still get them now, much worse, but I know they will go away once baby is out so I am not too phased. I just take panadol and lie down on my side with a pillow between my legs - thats the best thing for it.
But always good to talk to your m/w as well...?

ouch, i know how painful that can be! i found that a hot water bottle in the small of my back helped a bit, but definitely talk to your midwife.
