Well Joey has his first two teeth (bootom front) and I basically just want to know when to start brushing them?? Or when you guys did anyway.. I have read to start straight away?
I bought a little toothbrush the other day (sooooo cute  ) and "My first toothpaste" so am all set but it seems a little weird as he is so little, lol

yep you can start brushing straight away. You dont have to use toothpaste if he doesnt like the taste. if he wont let you brush with a brush you can use a muslin cloth. OR you can buy those little brushes that go on the end of your finger.
Both my girls had teeth at 3 months. Lissy was never a problem to brush and Jayde is still a nightmare. I make a sound like ahhhhhhhhh and get in and out as quick as i can. After im finished she is quite happy to brush her teeth and crys when i take the brush off her.

yep straight away is good - helpl them get used to it too for when they are old enough to brush their own teeth too. I let the boys do their morning brush (they also like to brush the bath, the sink, the walls, the floor and anything else they can think off even their own tummies although i do stop them when they try to brush the dogs teeth!!!) but i do their night time one to give the pearly whites a go old scrub.

jake likes to brush his own teeth too. It helps if he brushes them with me, cause he imitates me. I guess Josef is a bit little for that though. I'd start trying to brush now, so he gets used to the sensation.

I was at plunket yesterday for Ryan and Katelyns 5 month check up and she told me that as soon as they get teeth start brushing them so they get used to the tooth brush. Not sure how you are meant to get a tooth brush in a 5-6 month olds mouth but i guess it can be done.

I made it part of Kiya's bathtime at first, cause then she could play with the brush afterwards, and it didn't end up on the floor when she got bored! I'm going to do the same thing with Josiah, when his tooth gets through a little more.

i have to hold both jack's arms down and wait til he screams so i can give his teeth a good scrub first
i'm such a mean mummy 
after that i give him the brush and he sucks the rest of the toothpaste off

LOL I had been brushin his teeth by standin behind him but yestaerday tried it with him across my knee and even tho he packed a tanty his mouth opened wide and i actually got a good decent brush!! just something else to try if anyone has brushin issues

lol When I first saw this topic I was going to suggest that screaming is the easiest way to get in to their mouths to give teeth a proper going over but then I thought people might think I was a bit sadistic.
