Well we will get $45 per week which is much better than the $11 I sarcastically mentioned at the beginning of this thread, so can't complain really I guess!

Ann - I earn under 9k as I don't work much and I get an extra $5 a week so you should get something.
Catz - everyone gets the tax cuts so you will qualify (and the more you earn the bigger the cut )

So Im confused you know how it comes into pay today, does that mean that your pay that goes in say tonight or tomorrow night will be the new price - or will it be the old price?
Or does it come into play properly next week?

It relates to hours worked from today, so if you get paid tonight for the hours you worked last week it will be at the old rate. If you get paid next week for the hours that you've worked this week it will be a combination of the old rate (until yesterday) and the new rate (from today). Then going forward it will all be at the new rate.
If your pay covers your wages from dates both betore and after 1 October they will work out your pay split between the dates, ie Monday and Tuesday of this week will be calculated at the old rate and Wed - Fri at the new rate.
Make sense?

Well its a tad more confusing than that.
It is when the pay period ends.
So for example if you get paid tomorrow for the week ending today (eg .. Thursday 25th September to Wedneday 1st October) because the pay period ends in October .. you get taxed at the new rates.
For example the payroll I did today the period end was yesterday .. so they are going to get the old rates.
The payroll Im doing tommorrow the pay period ends today .. so they get the new rates.
Hopefully that sheds some light.
Oh and the entire period is taxed on old or new .. they dont tax a certain number of days at the old and a certain number at the new.

The period ends in October .. so the entire amount is taxed on the new rates.
