We didn't catch any of it this year but I'm sure it was similar the last year or two..i think you're right, it's more a showcase for other music. Pftt.

Yeah we don't bother with it either...we prefer to rock on up to the carols by candlelight and such things...

I agree, I went last year and Mum and I left half way through due to the lack of xmas theme! Why call it Christmas in the park...may as well call it 'concert in the park' as it has nothing to do with xmas IMO. And Santa arrived to some other strange music (not a xmas carol). Bah humbug

Yeah we were commenting on the lack of carols and Christmas theming too and BIL said exactly the same as you BS, that its become a showcase of new music.
We don't bother going to any of the park things now either. It'd be too much of a hassle with our two little tornadoes wanting to wander round all the time.

I watched a bit and saw Lissel! she used to be on the boards for a while. so pretended that I must be important to know someone on stage - even if it was just through a couple of online conversations.
but yeah, got bored with the singing, and who was that woman in the green singlet with the scary as smile???

DH's was very dissapointed there were no carols played on it. I remember when it was mostly carols and the odd non xmas song. Is there somewhere we can complain about the lask of carols?? Coz I would be complaining.
