Hi ladies,

For the last few days I have had a bit of tightness in my tummy and it feels like it is going to pop! Has anyone else experienced this? My back is also playing up

Sounds a bit like braxton hicks Millie. Is it constant or does it come and go?

It kind of feels like I have eaten too much which I know I haven't and my tummy can't stretch any more?? Very strange. Perhaps my tummy will stretch a bit more in a few days time - baby could be having a growth spurt or something and maybe that's why there isn't much room at the moment?

I go through stages where everything gets really REALLY tight and stretched, and then a week or so later it seems like my muscles and skin have loosened up a bit to accomodate the extra volume - I put it down to growth spurts ...?!?

Does sound like braxton hicks...but maybe not, I feel like i've eaten too much too sometimes and wonder how on earth this baby is fitting in there! Wait til you get further along and you start to freak out thinking, how could it possibly get any bigger!! ahhh

ha ha Bekkie I know what you mean re how is this baby going to fit in my tummy!

I think you are right Mrs Frantic and maybe it's just growth spurts - this boy better not have too many of those otherwise I will get HUGE!

Braxton Hicks I reckon. It should not hurt tho but your tum goes really firm and tight.

my first thought was braxton hicks too.... they aren't MEANT to be painful, but mine haven't exactly been comfortable!!! LOL  I'm sure it was a man who came up wit hthe 'not painful' part!

Braxton Hicks aren't painful *snorts*....compared to acutal labour I'm sure they aren't but I have some that can really take your breath away! They seem to get more uncomfy later in the day...earlier in the day they start out just as tightness...
