Just curious, as to how long it took for your milk to dry up after you finished b/f?

I stopped Ella's b/f before bed last Thurs and her early morning feed on Sun but there still seems to be milk there (particuarly in the evenings). My doc had told me that after 3 days of not feeding her at night, I should dry up....but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hi, how much milk is there? I never got engorged at all when my eldest weaned at about 6 months - although I could still produce milk for months afterwards I never leaked either...

there are not really engorged, just feeling really full and if I try and hand express milk squirts out. hopefully they settle down soon.

You can get something from the chemist called "milk stop" brand is naturopharm. I think it is about $18.50

I hear it works really well.

I've got some Milk Stop here I can send you if you like? I got it as part of a triple pack with Milk Flow and I don't need it.

I never dried up completely in between babies. Maya weaned at 10 mths and it was more than 2 years before I got preg with the gremlins and I still had a small amount of milk the whole time, and again after I weaned them at 10 weeks before I got preg with lil miss 9 mths later.

Prob a week or so after Jack, Caprece weaned so slowly i never felt uncomfortable when she weaned. If its really sore express enough to make you comfortable and take a couple of panadols. Cabbage leaves in the bra can help too.
