Those late scans are so bizarre - you can see a whole, giant baby in there! My midwife thought I might have GD and she made me do a GTT after that 36 week scan but it was all good.

Hey guys, Hope you aren't feleing too uncomfortable. Wow, this thread has exploded since I was last on here on sat. arvo. Just wanted to add my 2 cents. Try to (although it is soo hard when you have a bowling ball between your legs)enjoy these last few weeks of your pregnancy. Don't wish each stage away... This is the last time you will have alone with hubby or other children, and something the books don't tell you, you WILL miss being pregnant for ages after you have your bundle of joy.

Yeah, I mean I remember the lack of sleep, the peeing all the time, the back aches etc (and not being able to reach the damn keyboard) but I also miss being able to walk around with a stupid smile on my face because I had my own little baby in my tummy.

Yeah - my mum told me once not to wish it away too soon because you'll never be that close to your baby ever again (though she may have been talking about breastfeeding). As the mum of a ten year old *sob*, it's heartbreaking sometimes to see how quickly they get independent. You kind of want a 'go slow' button that you can push every now and again to keep the good times going and a 'go fast' button for the hard times (like tantrums in the shopping mall etc). Who woulda thought you could look fondly back on little hands and feet kicking their way through your internal organs at different intervals through the night?

I'm already missing the regular boots in the ribs. Last week it was constant even at 4am when I found myself growling at my belly "you nawdy baby" when I had just had enough of the hourly potty trips through the night and the heartburn and I was so tired I was almost blubbing!
Now that bubs has dropped (at least I think it has) I'm not feeling as much as I used to and I really miss it There's just no pleasing some people aye? lol

I missed driving with Kobe still in my tummy, I remember the first time I drove without either being pregnant or having him in the car, it was so horrible.
I dont wish away my pregnancy, I would just like a little less pain

I was like that, I was actually really upset that the labour was over and I wouldnt be doing it for ages. then a bit later I really wanted another baby, lasted till Kobe was about 4 months I guess then decided I didnt want any more kids cos he was enough for me, obviously changed my mind since then. It kind of reminded me of my wedding in a way, you plan and dream of the day you get married and your life is consumed by it for months or years before the big day and then its over, with a wedding you get a husband and with labour you get a baby which is great but also a strange feeling that its all over
