We use emulsifying cream from the chemist. It's water based, relatively inexpensive and is great. The other thing we use when it's not budging is a cream from the GP which is half antifungal (I think) and half hydrocortisone.
That's the beauty of the cream I got from the GP - I kind of covers everything including excema! I would say go with the vaseline but if it isn't clearing it up try something else.
we are having major trouble with Jaydens rash, we have tried the fungal cream from Dr clears it up to some extent but makes the skin really dry and comes straight back if miss a day applying it (dont want to use alot of it as it is a strong cream)
we have tried sudocream, pawpaw cream, bepanthan cream and the cream from the Dr so be interested to hear what is best!
