re the newborn nappy thing - my midwife told me about it - and it worked so well!
The other one she said to do was if it hurt to pee for a few days afterwards to pee in the shower with the water spraying on the area. Thankfully I didn't have to, but taking citravescent (sp) seems a better alternative.
Lol - looking forward to the thinking I'm skinny and squishing the floppy post baby belly into a pair of my old jeans again...

I wish I had also known......first time around...for the first few weeks after!!!

Not to worry about cooking dinner every night for us.
Not to worry about washing as it can wait til partner is home on the weekend and do it all then.
To make sure I slept when baby was sleeping during the day.
To go to bed when baby went to bed at night!

To relax and forget about being Superwoman..enjoy baby and get as much sleep as possible!

yeah I used to sleep when baby did to and it was great. He would wake at 6am for a bottle be back in bed by about 7 at the latest then i would put some washing on adn quickly vacum then jump back into bed till he woke at 10am. wont be able to do it this time round though.
My SIL has already said rather than buying a present for this baby she will cook a heap of meals that we can freeze which I thought was a great idea.
