Topic: Hormone Spots Posted: 16 January 2009 at 9:55am |
Caden had these when he was little, they looked like little pimples on his face and body and also when he was born he had these little pimple pustules on his feet and hands, there were only about 8 all up and the pead looked over him and said they were nothing to worry about, but it seems as though he has them again.
DF and I noticed he has a few round his neck and one on his hand and a few on his legs. They really look like little pimples, not like a rash at all.
Can they get hormone pimples at nearly 7 months? or could it be the heat or maybe some kind of...reaction to a soap Im using on him?

Hi
I'd say the heat would be contributing to them turning up again....Have you changed the soap or washing powder recently? If anything tho I'd say the heat...

Esme has the exact same thing at the moment and shes 8 months the have just popped up during the heatwave so I'd say most likely the heat. My Mum thinks it could also be teething Esme just got 2 teeth in the last week.

Thanks girls, yeah I was thinking the heat, or the soap I was using on him, it was just a family soap for babies aswell, but Ive stopped using it as of last night.
I think the heat must be causing them...they are raised, so not like a rash. If it was a rash id take him to the doc. if these start spreading more or get worse I think ill get them checked.

Are they red or white? I wonder if he has malloscum contagioism - which isn't harmful but takes up to a year to clear and it is spread via bathwater.

They are red and just seam to be dotted around, he only has a few on his back a few on his legs and most on his neck.
Hmmm, he has a shower with me most nights, cos we dont have a bath, mum and dad have a bath down the main end of the house and he used to have baths in there, but he has been having showers for the last month.
