I am not finding out and that is a big call for me as I like to know everything. people are very opinionated about this and we decided for ourselves and not to keep all the old croneys happy (although they believe we were influenced by them). I wanted to see if I got a maternal instinct feeling about the baby once it started moving....i havent. At the start I was 100% convinced it was a boy....now both DF and I are thinking maybe a girl? who knows. I want it healthy and preferably not ugly

I found out with all three... I just wanted to know! Nat wanted to know with Josiah, and ummed a little with Xavier before deciding (the day before the scan!) that he wanted to know... We actually both were right before finding out, making me 3 from 3 and Nat 2 from 2. Next time, well, who knows? I don't regret finding out (neither does Nat, actually) but I know he's quite keen on the surprise idea. We'll just have to see what happens.
Oh, and OT but Emma, you are a shocker! What were you saying about "3's enough" and "never want to be pregnant again"? Hmmm?

We didn't with Jake, and only found out with Charly at 32 weeks to tell my dying dad. I didn't want to know, but turned out I was the only one who could make the short notice scan! lol! and I wouldn't have been able to keep the envelope sealed if I got the sonographer to write it down for dad, plus I couldn't have stood them knowing but not me. We didn't tell anyone else though. Personally I don't like knowing what other people are having, it ruins the surprise for me. You could say I am very much a don't unwrap this before christmas type of gal!

I've found out, it makes it easier to buy all the right coloured stuff because I didn't like having only whites/yellows/greens. I wanted to buy blue and pink stuff.. also it helped because we wanted to paint the room.

With Andrew we couldn't as every scan I had he wouldn't cooperate. I went out buying blues, whites, greens and reds and hoping like hell I was having a boy. We could of found out 4 days before I had him but I was far too angry with my OB to hear what he had to say. With Josh I knew he was a boy I just wanted it confirmed so that I could but Huggies for a boy or girl. When (like Emma it's now a when not an IF) I have the 3rd I would like to find out again cos if its a girl I will have a field day shopping.

I never found out, but i never had a doubt that he was a boy, i was never even tempted to buy anything pink, and probably wont find out next time, i think its nice to have a surprise after all that hard work.

We found out only cause we wanted to. No other reason really. I'd been saying since around 8 weeks that I knew what we were having, I really only needed the scan to confirm my thoughts. I was right again...it does make shopping and planning so much easier.

first time round we found out what we were having. i wasn't surprised as i knew he was a boy for the simple fact everyone we knew had girls and i wanted a girl.
we left it as a surprise with charli as we figured if it was a boy, we had everything anyway, and if it was a girl, we could go on a huge shopping spree.
