HAPPY MOTHERS DAY LADIES.
I got 2 lovely homemade cards, one from DH and one from Michaela. Michaela's one said "world's best mum" on the front and she'd coloured in some flowers on the inside it had this handwritten poem:
I know we sometimes argue and I sometimes blow my lid.
But I still love you very much, I'm only just a kid.
Sometimes I need to push against the fences you erect.
Even though I know they're there to shelter and protect.
I know you want the best for me, and to keep me from all harm.
I just want you to know I couldn't have a better Mum.
I suspect DH may have helped miss 2 (just a smidgeon).

I too got nothing. But I think that he did buy me something and will send it down tomorrow.
But MIL did cook us dinner.

I was really spoilt. I got a new pillow (one with lavender in, its divine to sleep on) and the latest Jodi Picolut book.
I also got taken shopping and a new work outfit bought for me. I haven't bought such nice clothes for years. I feel like a million bucks today!

I had a lovely weekend, actually. Had a sleep in saturday, DH got up and got kids breakfast, I slept in till 8.30! (lol that thats a sleep in) Just hd a nice day together
Then yesterday, got up early to Charlotte, but once Jake was up, I went back to bed and DH got Jake to wake me with pressie, a new handbag and a card, even! I had said I didn't want anything as DH bought me cool new gummies last weekend and I had just bought myself slippers, all I wanted was a sleep in and a card. Dh then cooked me a big cooked brekkie and looked after kids while I slouched round in my PJs till 11am, lol. Then I was "allowed" to watch a dvd I had (miricle on 34th street) DH usually takes over the tele for sports on sundays, so that was a biiiig thing! THEN he cooked a big pork roast, Mum came and DSS even came and bought some choccies and a card...
A lovely nice day, so spoilt!

He he... we'd never heard of partners giving the women prezzies after the birth, then around the time Ella was due someone mentioned it - DH was mortified! 'Whaaat?!? Christmas, birthday, anniversary mother's day, and now they want more?!?'. Needless to say we seldom do gifts for those occasions anyway!

Happy Mummy's day!
I didn't get a sleep in which is the only thing I asked for...but can't complain as DH and DS gave me a lovely watch. Ds gave to me and said "mummy's day" he then got on the bed and gave me a kiss and a hug and was off again.
Dh went to visit MIL and came back with some beautiful roses. (he never buys them as "they just die anyway") and LOL I dreamed about them last night.....
He has never been good with doing anything nice for others so it was a huge step for him....and very much appreciated.
