lol I'm the opposite - I'm a little green-eyed that so many of you have actually gone ahead and got married, and a few more are in the planning stages, right now we're just trying to focus on me finishing my degree and getting a job.. which by the way, is only about 6-ish weeks till the big exam!

Not that part of me didn't want a big "fairytale" wedding with all the frills, but when it came down to it I had to ask myself "is it about the wedding, or getting married to the one person you love more than anything or anyone?"... and that's what made it easy for me / us to decide, and just go "Let's do it !" - then waltzed into the registry office and well, did it !

Ours was a bit different, I walked down the isle to "äll you need is love" but not the beatles version - the version off the "love actually" soundtrack - i wanted somehting that woudlnt make me burst into tears before i even got to the fornt and ruin all my make up but we also wanted somehtign different taht was us so we chose that and everyone loved it.
Another one that I considered is the "över teh rainbow" song off the soundtrack from 50 first dates - i love that song!

A colleague from work just asked me what our song was for our first dance and for the life of me couldn't remember as I had a mental block - all I could remember was that it was by Robbie Williams so I did a search on Robbie Williams lyrics and finally found the song - it was "Feel" - I felt so much better after I remembered it!!

Oooh, when lew and I finally have a wedding ceremony (i WILL wear the pretty dress!!), I like
"better when we're together"
Jack Johnson. It\s really pretty and cute
I also like
"let's stay together"
Al Green
A friend of a friend had (no kidding) the theme to star wars as she walked through dry ice to the altar.

My BIL wanted his wife to walk down the aisle to Darth Vader's march! She flatly refused, but did walk down to one of the other marches from Star Wars (don't think it was the theme, though). He is a huge SW fan though, and she quite likes the movies too (but not to the same extent as him!) so it made sense because it reflected part of who they are.

I got married at my BIL's farmlet with everyone gathered around us whilel I walked up to Vince to Shania Twain's "From This Moment". My special needs son Daniel walked with me as it was the blending of two families for us also (my stepdaughter walked with Vince to the celebrant (Phillip Sherry for those of u still old enuf to remember him!!!) then the other attendants followed behind them.
Loved the day, the moment and will always treasure the memories!!!

Kiya was our flowergirl when we got married. She walked with my chief bridesmaid, carrying a basket of rosepetals - from all the flowers Nat and I had given each other while we were going out. After the ceremony was over, she tipped the basketfull over my head!

Oh Lizzle - lets stay together was our first dance. I LOVE that song sooooo much - its just nice and simple.
I walk in to Pachelbel's Canon played by a string trio who also played some nice music for the register and the walking out. We hired a sound system and borrowed my cousins laptop for the reception music and put play lists of all our fav party music on it. We had another cousin play the important songs at the right time. We played LOTS of Motown, R&B, Island Music, etc etc. During the bridal party photos, we had a massive play list of beautiful jazz playing sonftly in the background - really great atmosphere
