Caprece keeps getting thrush, if its not in her mouth it seems its on her bum. Is there anything I can do to try and prevent her getting it?

Thanx Nikki yeah I'm still bfing I don't think it bothers her too much but it really hurts my nips. Jack never had it either but the weird thing is I had it on and off my whole pregnancy with her.

So are you being treated at the same time as Caprece? If not then you'll just be passing it straight back to her. (But I assume you know that anyway)

Oh I'm pleased you've posted this thread cause Brenna has it on her bum area ATM and I don't know much about it... the doc has given me some cream which I'm using but do I need to be careful with washing her clothes?
My beautiful 2 girls...nearly 4 and 13 months

Yeah i'm using a cream as well. It does go away for a few days and then seems to be back.

Thrush is when normal bacteria dies down a bit so normal fungi or something gets overrun (not the best description but you get the idea) so washing clothes won't really make much difference. For her bum I was told to let her have heaps of nappy free time and then put the thrush cream on and leave it for 5 or so minutes and then put barrier cream over top.

Mercedes has it on her butt atm coz she was on antibiotics last week for her ears, I'm using cream on it but I also chuck some Dettol fresh in the wash to kill any bacteria lurking on her nappies etc.
