Gosh - Sounds exactly like my Dad...

He dropped off the face of the planet for 3 weeks and when he finally came back to the surface I was like "what the hell happened? Why were you not replying to my calls/texts/emails?"

And he goes (in *the* most casual tone)

"Oh, I had a stroke. And the doctors found a blod clot on my brain"

........ I was sitting here going, "Uhhh, I'm sorry. What? And no one thought to alert me?"

Men are daft sometimes
My wee girl is the love and light of my life!

okay, my grandfather had terminal cancer, and he swore my nana to secrecy not to tell anyone because "i don't want to worry them". idiot. I wonder if your dad is thinking the same thing?

and also, when my dad had his heartattack, he kinda went into denial - still smokes, still drinks - very much, "oh it won't happen to me" kinda thing. this could also be the same with your dad. Annoying and childish, but kinda understandable at the same time.
big hugs to you and your sis Lu.

Hugs Lu, bloody stubborn Maori men! He sounds exactly like my Willie, refuses to accept that he isn't bulletproof.

Best of luck to your dad for his scan, keep us posted.
