Topic: For those who missed it... Posted: 29 August 2007 at 9:52am |
ok for those who missed it or just couldn't be bothered to stay up late enough to see it...
Here is some photos of the Lunar Eclipse last night...
9.29pm
9.36pm
9.46pm
and its covered
9.53pm
We took these photos from our telescope by putting the camera over the view lense - it took some skill from my 14 year old I think he did well!

Nice pics Ann! Go Josh, what a clever idea. We didn't see it coz it was pitch black and pouring with rain.

Awesome photos! WELL DONE - they're priceless!
I saw it at about the 9:46pm stage, starting to go red, was pretty cool.

Thank you so much for puttung the photo's up, I showed the boys these this morning on the other post and they were rapt. We missed it I promised the boys I would wake them up, but it was so cloudy where we are you couldn't even see the moon.

Thanks for the the piccies! We weren't expecting to see it in Hamilton (always clouds over or rains at any crucial viewing) but for once we saw the 'bloody' moon. Very inventive boy your son!

it did go more red but by then the clouds kept coming over (after all we are in taranaki ) and Josh had put the telescope away.
Got to print the photos now for Brooke to take to school.
